As our colleagues are moving forward with the matching of the database, an increasingly number of questions arise on how to be more accurate when matching components together. Indeed, in the list of components we extracted from Byggvarubedömningen’s forms, some of them do not exist as such in the Idematapp2018 database. Therefore, the missing data must be created either by combining other entry or by calculating the average of one kind. But, in order to be able to perform this combination and/or average one must know more about how these components are being used and the website of Byggvarubedömningen does not allows the users to search per component.
Therefore, knowing we will need it later, we jump forward and started to work on the script that, from the Byggvarubedömningen’s forms, will extract a workbook where each category will be a worksheet. These worksheets will contain every product and their components. This will allow our colleagues to quickly browse through the components and see which product are using them. Then on Byggvarubedömningen’s website they will have access to the specification of each product.
